Specifications:
- R170 is an accelerator combination. This is widely used in compounding EPDM rubber to provide vulcanisate with very snappy cure. It is also enhancing higher physical properties and reliable scorch safety properties during processing. Generally EPDM products bloom and are not combined with R170. 5.0 phr is recommended for R170.
Mixing Cycle:
- Rubber accelerator blends must be added to the compounding mixer at the last stage. Master batch must be given rest for 24 hours before adding accelerators. And after than only, sulphur can be immediately added. As such no special care is needed to the mixer of these Accelerators.
